Our Story

Darwin Brewing Company brews artisan ales and lagers influenced by the flavors and spices of South America’s Andean and Amazonian Regions.

Darwin Brewing Company traces its roots back to January 2012 on a modest brewing system within the brewpub Darwin’s on 4th offered authentic Andean cuisine to the communities of Bradenton and Sarasota. As Darwin’s on 4th became known throughout the culinary world, Brewmaster Jorge Rosabal began crafting artisan brews to pair with the brewpub’s cuisine.

Through beer dinners, festivals, and word of mouth, Rosabal’s brews have become a staple of the burgeoning Florida craft beer landscape. In 2013, Rosabal expanded operations to DBC’s fifteen-barrel production facility, taproom, and beer garden in Bradenton, Florida.

We believe in incorporating ingredients indigenous to Florida and the Americas creatively into our brews. Our year round beers are Summadayze IPA, Circa 1926 Tangerine Wheat, Pirata Pilsner, and Llama Mama Milk Stout.

Brewery

DBC brews traditional ales and lagers, with specialties in the German and Belgian style, influenced by the indigenous flavors of Florida and the Americas. Cuban-born, German-educated Brewmaster Jorge Rosabal and his talented team create new beers every week.  Darwin brews are always available on the 14 taps at the DBC taproom.  We are located across the street from McKechnie Field / LECOM Park in Bradenton, FL.

The only thing better than a brewery is a brewery with deep roots in our community. That is exactly what can be found at Darwin Brewing Company. For the DBC family, it is not enough to simply exist in the downtown Bradenton community, we aim to be a part of the community and work with local organizations and creators to provide the best product and service possible.
